Buildings
Building
signs come under two basic functions, often combined. That of advertising
and that of building identity.

We
offer signs to suit all needs, certain types of which have been briefly
illustrated below;
Flat
Panels - Plain flat panels,
this type of sign is most common in sign making, materials can include almost
anything you can imagine. All shapes and profiles are available from plain geometric
to shapes designed to highlight the
image they display.

The traditional flat panel sign can be constructed in most
materials and affixed to the parent surface in a
variety of ways. These include bonding, framed fit and using any of
the decorative fittings.

An often overlooked element of any structure is the glazing,
most commercial buildings have glass in both interior and exterior. This
can be used for informational, decorative and safety.
Tray
Signs - Similar to the flat panel signs these offer a slightly prominent
version to the flat panel. These again can be provided in both geometric
and contour cut patterns with a variety of depths. Fitting is usually
concealed under the sign tray and offer a cleaner modern look. Sign trays
are constructed in a variety of materials but most regularly used is aluminum,
this provides a colour coatable non ferrous sign. This translates to a
very durable, non rusting re usable sign panel. The tray can be
further enhanced using additional shapes to give a standard geometric shape
further impact

3D Effect
Signs - These can come in many forms, the simplest is the projecting
sign, it is usually fitted perpendicular to the mounting surface but can be set
at any angle. These are frequently in aluminium do to its strength and low
weight.
Another type of 3D effect is that of border signs, these are
shaped panels, often in geometric shapes with a raised frame / edge. The
edge comes in a variety of forms trom a plain rectangular profile to a more
traditional picture frame style, An extension of this is the use of 3D
letting /shapes, with or without a background panel. These letters can be
produced from a range of materials, sizes & styles to suit most
applications.
Glass -
Glass is a substrate used more and more in modern construction, we offer full
glass graphics down to the simple frosted manifestations which are now part of
building regulation.
We also
offer an economic alternative to expensive household privacy glass in the form
of etch glass effect materials which can be applied in all sorts of shapes.
Lighting
- The last element of sign improvement is lighting, signs can
be lit in a number of ways; traditional light box style signs, illuminated
lettering, directional illumination and lastly the more contemporary halo style
illumination. The once prohibitive costs of tradition neon and halogen
lighting have been greatly reduced with the evolution of LEDs into sign
illumination. These now provide the most popular form on sign illumination
due to much lower costs of both purchase and maintenance. A variety of
colours are available in extremely flexible forms to provide illumination from
halo hints to fully lit signs.
